The results are in-- for the 2nd consecutive year, Baird Middle School 7th grader, Torcato Zina, has grabbed a 1st place finish in the school's National Geographic Bee contest, with 8th grader, Elizabeth Pereira, taking the 2nd place finish.
Torcato will now take an online NGB geography exam, hoping to qualify for the state level competition. On January 10th 3rd grade students at Chapin Street School gathered in the cafetorium for a very special surprise.

East Street Preschool students were delighted when the main character of the book, Toto the Tornado Kitten, made a special visit to their classrooms with the book's author Jonathan Hall.
Two representatives from the Ludlow Lodge of Elks #2448 - Donald Conner, Activities Chairman and Paul Jacques, President- visited the school to donate a new dictionary to every 3rd grader.
